What is the difference between MVV and the A1 exam?
An MVV is an authorisation for temporary stay. The basic civic integration exam abroad may be required before applying. Passing is not an MVV application and does not guarantee admission.
Does everyone moving to the Netherlands need A1?
No. Whether the exam applies depends on your purpose of stay and circumstances. Exemptions and dispensations exist. Check with the IND.
What can I try for free?
Five original KNS sample questions without an account or credit card, with explanations and your result. It is not a full or official exam.
Which parts are available now?
Only A1 KNS. Reading, Speaking, A2 and B1 are in development. The website translates the guidance; the app and practice questions remain in Dutch.
Am I paying for a subscription?
No. Choose 5, 10 or 20 KNS practice exams with a one-time payment. No subscription starts. Checkout is currently still in test mode. Buy 5, 10 or 20 KNS practice exams using credits. Need more practice? You can buy another package whenever you want. There is no limit to the number of packages you can purchase.
Are official exam fees included?
No. Naar Nederland lists €50 per official part and €150 for all three. You register and pay separately through official channels.
Is Listening a separate A1 exam part?
The basic exam has KNS, Reading and Speaking. There is no separate Listening part. KNS questions are read aloud and Speaking includes listening to prompts.
How long is my successful result valid?
The IND says to apply for the MVV within one year of passing the full basic exam. This concerns the official result, not the duration of an Inburgify package.
Can my partner help me?
You can read guidance and practise together. A paid package is linked to the candidate’s account. Do not share passwords or personal case documents.
Are these official exam questions?
The free trial on this website has five original sample questions. Naar Nederland publishes all KNS questions in its photo book; we provide practice for A1 KNS. Official Reading practice questions differ from the real exam. A question list is published for Speaking. Find the official source links below. Inburgify is independent and is not approved by DUO or the Dutch government.
Can I get my money back?
Your first practice package is not right for you? Request a full refund of that purchase within 14 calendar days of your first payment. You do not need to pass or fail an exam.
